Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund
Dealing with cancer is tough enough without money worries. I want the government to create a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund, so they don’t have to worry about mounting travel costs during treatment.
It’s not right that young people with cancer have to wait three months before they can access the financial support they are entitled to, at the time when they most desperately need it.
That’s why we want the Minister for Disabled People, Health and Work to review Personal Independence Payments (PIP) for young cancer patients so they get financial support backdated from the day of diagnosis. We can’t do this without you. Please email your MP and ask them to write to the Minister to urge them to review this. Just pop your postcode in the box below to get started.
NHS England is seeking views on the future of children and young people’s cancer services in England.
This is our chance to make a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund a reality for children and young people travelling for treatment. Make sure your voice is heard by emailing NHS England about the need for financial assistance for travel for young cancer patients, so families no longer have to worry about the costs of travelling to treatment. We’ve put together a template email to help you out. Just pop in your postcode below to get started.
We’re asking the government to create a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund so that families don’t have to worry about mounting travel costs.
30,000 people have already pledged their support by signing our petition. But we’re not stopping here. We need to make sure the government takes action. We need your help to tell MPs exactly why this is important. Please email your MP and ask them to support our campaign by writing to the Prime Minister, asking her to create a Young Cancer Patient Travel Fund.
